Welcome to the
Municipality of Breadalbane
Just off Route 2, Breadalbane is a small but vibrant community of farmers, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, commuters and homemakers. With 81 households, we are one of the smallest municipalities on PEI.

We invite you to enjoy the many offerings the Community of Breadalbane has to showcase. You can experience the calming effects of nature while you walk along the hiking trails, visit local artisans, enjoy our playground and tennis court, join us for church, visit the library or attend events in the community centre.
The Breadalbane Community Centre is host to many different events, activities and parties by various community groups and members throughout the year. The building is an emergency centre and is wheel chair accessible.

A public library is situated in the front of the building and is open on Tuesday (11-3), Wednesday (9-1) and on Thursday (4-8). Check the PEI public library website to see what events may be scheduled in the library.
Upstairs, on any given day you may find a choir practice, 4-H group meeting, exercise class, community potluck, or a Council meeting.
The centre is home to our community seed bank. In the spring and summer, you can pick up seeds for your garden in exchange for a small donation. The participation of volunteers, who have collected and donated seeds and help pack them into envelopes, is essential to the success of this program.
In late May, a plant exchange occurs on the lawn, where you can drop off spare transplants and perennials, and freely pick up what others have donated. Generally, the seed bank is open to the public during the same hours as the library.
In December, admire the lights in the village park and watch for Santa! He comes to visit each year, drawing children to the park from miles around.
Enjoy the walking trails, year-round, as they wind along the Dunk River and the Confederation Trail. There are many beautiful views and peaceful spots all along the trail where you can stop and have a picnic or just sit and listen to all the birds. The Park is located in the heart of Breadalbane and offers outdoor fun for children and also has tennis courts for use.
